Five Points Fall 2017

September 28, 2017: American Marketing Association

The AMA chapter at USC is raising money to be able to send all their members to the annual AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans, where they will be able to learn marketing strategies and make connections with other marketing students.

October 5, 2017: Sustainable Carolina

The student branch of the Office of Sustainability at USC, Sustainable Carolina, is partnering with Feeding Children Everywhere and will be hosting a Hunger Project next semester. All the money raised during their percent night will go towards purchasing meals to be packed during the Hunger Project. $1 will feed 4 children, and the overall goal is to raise $8,000 and be able to feed 20,000 people here in the Midlands.

October 11, 2017: USC Dance Marathon

2017-18 will be USCDM's 20th year in existance!! Last year they raised a record-breaking $703,289 for the Palmetto Children's Hospital. In total they have raised over 3.6 MILLION DOLLARS! Their main event will be March 3, 2018.

October 26th, 2017: Kappa Delta

Kappa Delta is raising money for their national philanthropy, Prevent Child Abuse America.

November 2nd: USC College of Pharmacy

This group of Pharmacy students is raising money for their program that mentors second year students.

November 9th: Kappa Psi

This pharmaceutical fraternity is raising money to attend their annual national meeting, which takes place in December.

November 19th - SGTV

The University of South Carolina's student-run television station. It allows students the opportunity to create original programming and learn the day to day operations of a TV station.

November 30th: Scorch Women's Ultimate Frisbee

This team is raising money for team travel expenses and tournament fees.

October 12, 2017: Alpha Xi Delta

This sorority is raising funds for Autism Speaks, who is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism spectrum disorder; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related condition.
